Please fill out the form, we will see you in our next Baptism Class.
Baptism isn’t required for salvation, but it is the first step of obedience for a believer. The water itself doesn’t save anyone—Jesus does! Baptism is an outward picture of the transformation He has already done in your heart.
Baptism illustrates Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) and represents your new life in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). It doesn’t make you a believer—it shows that you already believe. Just like a wedding ring symbolizes a commitment, baptism is a public declaration of your faith.
Jesus set the example by being baptized (Mark 1:9) and commanded His followers to do the same (Matthew 28:19-20). At FBC Kissimmee, we baptize by immersion, following the biblical model.
If you're ready to take this step, we’d love to celebrate with you! Fill out this form, and someone from our team will reach out with details.
Baptism class is lead by one of our pastors the first Sunday of the month at 9:30am at the Room C-101.
At FBC Kissimmee, we believe baptism is an important step of faith, and we want to ensure that children understand its meaning before taking this step. Our approach is to have parents, our Kids Director, or one of our pastors explain the gospel and have a meaningful conversation with them. Instead of simple "yes or no" responses, we encourage children to express their understanding in their own words.
In our experience, children in 3rd grade or older are usually ready for this step of obedience, though there are rare exceptions. If your child has shown interest in baptism on their own, here are some helpful questions you can ask to gauge their understanding: Who is Jesus, and what did He do for us?,
What does it mean to follow Jesus?, Why do you want to be baptized?, How does baptism show others that you believe in Jesus? We also recommend avoiding leading questions like, “Do you believe that baptism is a symbolic, public display of your faith in Jesus who saved you?” Instead, allow your child to express their thoughts freely.
If you’d like to discuss baptism further, you can schedule a meeting with our Kids Director or one of our pastors using the
contact form. We would love to walk alongside your family as your child takes this next step in their faith journey!
