At First Baptist Church of Kissimmee, we strive to be an extension of your caring family, devoted to helping you build a foundational understanding of God, Jesus, and the Bible in your child’s life.
Luke 2:52 tells us that “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.” We aim to help our preschoolers grow in the same ways by providing for their mental, physical, spiritual and social needs while they are in our care. We use a variety of teaching techniques and tools including art, books, dramatic play, music, pictures, and puzzles to connect with children of all different learning styles.  We partner with parents to provide experiences for your children to build Biblical foundations toward Christian commitment and growth.
At First Baptist Church of Kissimmee, we strive to be a secure, safe and loving environment for your preschooler. Some of the security measures we have in place are as follows:
•   Only One Entrance:   All of the doors to the preschool building are locked and everyone must be admitted through the front door.
•   Computer Check In:   As children are checked in, the computer prints a sticker for the child, and one for the adult to use upon pick-up.  In order to pick up a child, the adult must return the appropriate sticker to the child’s teacher.  In the event that the adult does not have the sticker, they must show a valid government issued ID to the preschool director in order to get a replacement.
Visitors:   First-time visitors will receive a two-part visitor sticker for their child while they are with us.
• If you are the parent of an infant (six week old) through fifth grader, please consider taking a moment to pre-register your child for nursery, kid’s worship, or Sunday School. This will help save you time when you arrive!

•   Volunteers and Staff:  All volunteers and staff are members of the church and undergo regular background checks and training.  If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity in the preschool department, please contact the preschool director, Kate Kauble.
•   Silent Pagers:  If your child needs you while you are in the worship service, your assigned security number will appear on the silent pager displays located on the walls of the sanctuary.  If you are in an adult Sunday School class or serving in a ministry and your child needs you, someone will come personally to let you know.
